viva la musica – concert by Note-ability @ Beeston Methodist Church
Oct 1 @ 7:30 pm – 9:15 pm

Note-ability, a lively local a capella choir, will present an autumn concert at Beeston Methodist Church on Saturday, October 1 at 7.30pm.

The Nottingham-based group of friends, who have been making music together since 1994. regularly perform throughout the East Midlands and further afield.

Their director Caroline Essex, a distinguished soprano soloist, has written several of the choir’s vocal arrangements.

Although Note-ability has changed shape over the years as singers have come and gone, they still have a core group of original founder members and continue to specialize in mostly unaccompanied vocal music from madrigals and motets to popular songs and folk songs.

Tickets (£8 adults /£5 children) are available from the church office, 0115 9431164, or on the door.

Just 4 In Concert @ Beeston Methodist Church
Oct 8 @ 7:30 pm – 9:15 pm

A newly formed musical group will be appearing at Beeston Methodist Church on Saturday, October 8 to raise funds for Mission Possible.

Just 4 – comprising classical singer and BMC member Serena Lindsay, pianist Rueben Lee and musical theatre performers Leo Foxwhite and Lara Eley – are lining up a concert programme that should contain something for everyone.

Lara, a student at Stage 79 in Leicester, said: “We came together to help BMC with its fundraising to redevelop the church and restore the organ. We are really looking forward to performing at such a lovely venue.”

Both Lara and Rueben have studied with singing teacher Serena. Rueben, currently working for his piano diploma from the Royal College of School of Music, will play pieces by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and other composers during the concert.

Serena will sing several classical items and Leo and Lara will perform songs from modern West End musicals

Tickets at £8 for adults and £5 for children are available from the church office, 0115 9431164, or by contacting Serena on 07713166559 (evenings/weekends). Tickets can also be bought on the door on the night of the concert, which starts at 7.30pm.
