Friday Voices, a Staffordshire-based mixed voices choir, will be entertaining us in celebration of the Armistice Centenary. They will sing a selection of music to mark the occasion and to raise money for our church charity.  The first half will be a fitting tribute to the cessation of hostilities in World War One, including some specially arranged familiar war-time songs for you to join in a jaunty sing-a-long. The second half will feature a variety of English songs, with something for everyone from madrigals to contemporary. The choir is led by Chris Mallinson, who brings fun and energy to all his work. A highly-regarded, award-winning group, they sing a varied repertoire from scared to Gershwin to choral takes on modern music.  You are all invited to this evening of commemoration and song – put the date in your diary now. More details nearer the time. www.fridayvoices.com
