30th Nottingham Girls’ Brigade

Beeston Methodist Church is proud to support the 30th Nottingham Girls’ Brigade Company.

Girls’ Brigade (http://www.girlsb.org.uk/) is an international Christian youth organisation for girls aged 4 and above. In Beeston, we are blessed with a large company that meet weekly on Thursdays at the Pearson Centre for Young People (2 Nuart Road, Beeston).

Our company is divided into 4 age groups:
Explorers, ages 4 to 8, meet from 5:45pm-7:00pm
Juniors, ages 7 to 11, meet from 5:45pm-7:00pm
Seniors, ages 10 to 14, and Brigaders, ages 13+, meet from 7:15pm to 9:00pm

In addition to weekly badge work, involving a mixture of crafts, games, sports, discussions, activities and serving others, there is also a marching band, an annual Pantomime, a week-long summer camp, and a series of activities with other Girls’ Brigade companies across the area. Some of our activities are joint with the 17th Nottingham Boys’ Brigade. All of this is done within a Christian context, but all are welcome, from any faith or none.

GB (2017)

All our volunteers are DBS checked and have attended safeguarding training. Subs are charged to cover the costs of the activities and organisation.
